Ned & Rex – Proving You Are Never to Young to Help!

When Ned and Rex Rowland said they wanted to set up a meeting with their primary school headteacher – he admits wasn’t sure what to expect! Fortunately he agreed and the outcome was an evening of inspired fundraising from the 7-year-old twins who wanted to raise money for The Willow Trust.

Although, the twins have had plenty of fundraising inspiration in the shape of their grandmother Liz Rowland MBE, The Willow Trust’s Administrator since its launch 1989, holding a fundraising initiative and what they wanted to do, was entirely Ned and Rex’s idea.

Liz Rowland explained: “Neither their parents nor I had any idea the boys had gone to their headteacher to put forward a fundraising idea. We are very proud of them both

The two boys decided to sell glow sticks at their school bonfire night and as a result of their hard work raised a magnificent £72.50 to help keep The Willow Trust’s days of freedom on the water for people with disabilities completely free of charge.

Glowing Praise for Inspirational Twins

The Willow Trust would like to say a huge well done to Ned and Rex Rowland and their excellent Bonfire Night fundraising initiative! 🎆 🎇 What an inspiration you both are – thank you very much. We hope your initiative will inspire other young people to get involved in fundraising too!
